Van graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Degree in Molecular Biology, and subsequently earned an Honours Doctoral Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Toronto. She also received an Honours Diploma of Health Sciences in Acupuncture at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences, Toronto. As part of her practice, Van had spent her internship at a number of hospitals in the region including Mount Sinai hospital, Toronto, and Saint John's Rehabilitation Hospital, North York. She also completed her internship at the Henan Hospital number 1, 2, and 3 in Henan, China; WangJing Hospital in Beijing, China, as well as many private clinics in Toronto and Mississauga.

In addition to that, Van received a Degree of Complementary Health Sciences by Charles Sturt University, Australia, and she also completed the Diploma of Massage Therapy from the Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington, Ontario, and is also registered with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Van strongly believes that an integrative and natural approach model of healthcare is essential in helping people on their way to better health. She has taken great care in forming proper assessment, deriving at the most suitable approach to treat many difficult cases using a combination of effective techniques.

She is currently an active member of the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CSCMA), the Traditional Chinese Medicine Physicians Association of Ontario (TCMPAC), and The College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO). Apart from her private TCM practice in Mississauga at the Maple Therapeutic Clinic, and in Maple, at the Health Centre of Maple, Van also working as a Clinical Supervisor at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM), Toronto.

Van’s dedication in her quest to assist people towards better health, together with her unending enthusiasm combining with superior skill set help to resolve difficult conditions effectively and quickly.
